FYI my wired remote did not work out of the box. I found the positive lead in the box for the wired remote was connected to the positive terminal going out to the winch. I switched this to the positive terminal on the relay coming from the battery and it now works. Also the thin black lead must go to ground for anything to work. I connected this thin small black to a switch because I noticed a very small current draw when connected. I did this to prevent battery draw down when not in use.
