If you have ever done ball joints.. you know the agony of removing and installing pressed in joints.. it can take hours, and muscle strain!! I have a snap-on C lamp ball joint press, and it was great but took work, this I have literally removed a ball joint in under 1 min and then reinstalled a new on in the same time..Now they do say you can use a cordless impact wrench even a 3/8” , I cannot attest, as I used a 800lb 1/2” impact wrench and it was nice..Now negatives.. it’s heavy, and a little cumbersome… but once you figure out the ins and outs… it’s a breeze.. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!

External marketplace context: I bought this tool from Matco with Matco logo and box for $200 more. It's more convenient for me just in case something happens in the future my Matco guy will take care of the lifetime warranty. This ball joint press simply blew my mind, the OTC clamp failed to press out seized ball joint from 2020 Ram 3500 and this tool did it in just few minutes!

Yes it has alot of power to free tough ball joints, but…. When it comes to installing them it is difficult to get them started straight! It never has the angle I need to press it in straight. I wind up going back to my old one. Also I am always afraid I’ll exceed the 165 ft. Lb too.. I have even gotten a torque wrench out when I get tough ones. Kind of a drag for as much as it costs
