Build quality is good! It’s 200 times better than the plastic stock one. My main complaint is the fitment being off by a little. It was fine at first then the hood had problems staying shut due to the slightly off position of the battery due to the plate not being perfect. I had to use a cutting wheel to remove some corners that were rubbing and I had to cut a section of the base plate out to get it to fit in the fender well. 30 mins of extra work. I’d still highly recommend getting it over OEM. Just know that you might have to do some modification to get it to seat better.

My original battery tray was falling apart and wasn’t holding the battery down anymore. This tray is very well made and fit perfectly besides one thing, it’s taller than the factory tray so the negative terminal was hitting the hood. I needed a new battery anyway so I got a Group 78 battery with terminals on the side and everything works perfectly.

Product came well packaged and shipped fast. Great replacement for the factory plastic tray. Only complaint is that it makes your battery sit a little higher. Had to modify my hood a little(hit it with a hammer to make an indentation) to clear the large battery terminals I have. Otherwise great product.

Great replacement. Nicely made. Fits perfectly in a 1995 Cherokee.DESIGN CHANGE: the bolt that comes up from the bottom should be a carriage bolt with a square hole. The current design requires a contortionist to put a finger under the bolt to hold it tight while tightening. Not a pleasant task.
