Read the instructions for better use
- Step 1: Use a shovel to get underneath the tires. Dig a track in front of ALL tires to make a roll-out path. The goal is to reduce resistance so you can keep your momentum.
- Step 2: Reduce tire pressure to a minimum amount you are comfortable with. XPV recommends carrying an air compressor, it’s essential when off-road or in remote areas.
- Step 3: Place the track on the tires and hold a steady throttle until you feel the car rising, then increase the throttle until you can gain traction.

Simple inexpensive recovery boards that work. No issues mounting. I had to drill additional center mounting holes to accommodate my rack’s mounting points. The material has some flex and appears to be strong enough not to crack under load. I don’t leave them mounted 24/7 and only mount for trips. I’m not sure how long the material will hold up, in extreme sun and heat/cold, over years of exposure, but at the price they can be cheaply replaced. If I had any suggestions it would be to add 6” to the length and center mounting slots for easy adjustable mounting.

These boards will definitely help you in a pinch. The plastic has held up very well. My only complaint is minor, and that’s how short they are. I might just put these aside for a atv or something smaller (which they would be perfect for) and then get a different set of recovery boards for my vehicle. These will do the job, just be aware they are a little on the short side.
