These are easy to use and do an amazing job at keeping the engine bay dry. They fit tightly into each vent and aren’t perfect, as some water does get in, but you can place a towel inside to help ensure things stay dry. I use a small power washer, foaming it up and rinsing it off and I haven’t had one blow off. Take a moment and give the instructions a glance, otherwise they are pretty commonsense in how to use them. I like them and you will too.

I liked the way the pieces fit into the areas. The longer strip for the window does fit really tight, but that is good. The pieces will come out with a lot of pressure, but under just regular water, they will be fine. I labeled mine to place them in the correct slots faster. That is my recommendation for them – to put labels on. Otherwise a solid product. They are pricey though. I made one piece myself using foam and hardboard just like these. It took me an hour to make just one, and it did not fit as well as theirs. So that probably helps to explains the price. It would be five stars if the pieces had labels and if they cost around $100.

Although these do not keep out all water from the engine compartment, even when carefully washing car, they do help a lot. I’m glad to have them; however, in my opinion the price is too high, for a product wihich should be very affordable to produce.

Water pressure in car wash blows plugs out of vents. Engine compartment gets flooded and one has to interrupt the washing of other cars to search inside the car wash for the plugs to retrieve them. This product is only useful for hand car washing with a garden hose with no nozzle.
