These are extremely have duty. The copper is actually copper all the way through with a thick insulting jacket. The clamps are strong and the copper ribbon connecting both sides of the clamp ensures a strong, stable connection. I bought another set of clamps linked below to use these as jumper cables. They attached right out of the box using only a 10mm socket. High quality parts assembled extremely well. The connecting clamps are exceptional; substantial solid and braided copper connections to both jaws internally with the maximum possible insulation externally. Give me confidence that my high current application will be well connected with minimum risk of damage if a clamp is accidentally dislodged. Good example of the attention to detail is the raised plastic rim around the fasteners that hold the jaws into the clamps, insulating them. Every other clamp I have found leaves these exposed risking accidental shorts while positioning the clamps. Very impressed and expect to be using these for a very long time.

Well designed, well made with genuine copper braided wire for the clamps and size 2 AWG wire. Now I can jumper off my Hybrid mini-van 12 volt battery with the drive batteries keeping my 12 volt battery charged. These cables stay cool as I run my 1500 watt microwave for any length of time I need.
