This worked well on a pipe where I had to dremel cut off the jam not that was stuck due to flattened threads. When cutting off the jam nut the dremel cutting wheel also got into the threads a tiny bit making a perpendicular mark/indention.I bought this Thread Repair tool and it fixed the flattened threads that were the initial problem and it ensured the other threads touched by the dremel cutting wheel had no problem. A new jam nut went on and off without issue and all was right with the world!
