I purchased this seat because I wanted something that was solid and easy to maneuver. It does feel solid and moves around pretty good. But a couple issues kept it from getting 5 stars. The hardware especially the lock washers are cheap and most broke easily when snugging them down, so I had to find replacements for them in my lock washer assortment. When it arrived there was no damage to the box that affected the front drawer from being bent slightly along with the right side (where the drawer slide mounts),( a quality control issue at the factory in Taiwan) I was able to use a rubber mallet to give it an attitude adjustment. Not quite perfect but I am able to open and close the drawer better now. It is about an inch taller than most other chairs so that is a plus for it as I am tall. Very comfortable to sit in, could use better wheels that roll easier. All in all it will work for me and I do recommend it.

I bought this for my husband for jobs that require bending (bad knees) or getting in the floor (hips & back). I initially bought this for him to sit on while remodeling our closets which have a sloped ceiling (1920’s house), but we started to figure out other uses including painting trim work and lower wall painting. I started off looking for just a stool, but when I found this that had a padded back rest, cup holders, and a drawer for tools I decided to give it a try. It is built very well, very sturdy. We have really no intention of using this to detail a car, but we both have bad knees and bad lower backs, so will use this for home improvement jobs that require bending. Hoping this will save my husband from winding up at the chiropractor every time he has to work on certain home improvement projects. The only drawback to the assembly was that there is only a picture and no actual instructions. Basically you have to interpret the diagram. Tools were supplied, but my husband used a socket wrench which made it go quicker. He’s very happy with this chair. This purchase was a win!!!

I have/had a few of these detail/mechanics chairs and so far this Powerbuilt detailers stool is the BEST! Easy to install, I used my 10mm socket instead of the provided wrenches and it took less than 10 minutes. The stools is heavy and has two pull out drawers so well built and sturdy. So far it is the most comfortable rolling stool I’ve ever owned, I took a short soft drink sitting on the stool after I assembled it and was able to comfortably and confidently lean back and relax with fear of the stool failing to support me. I would have liked to have deeper drawers to be able to store my most used auto detailing products onboard the stool but other than that the rolling stool is perfect!

I surprised my husband with this. It was definitely a hit! My husband is always working on his old Harley’s or someone else’s. It’s definitely not just for detailing. It’s very stable, comfortable, functional and rolls easily. Even has wheel locks. My guy is 6’2″ & the height is perfect for him. No problem sitting back & taking a break. The comfort level is excellent.Great investment. Definitely 5*****

This seat is well made. No flimsy materials. Powder coat is done well.Assembly. Look at the photos. The manufacturer individually bags the hardware with attached diagrams as to where they go. No bag full of similar bolts that you have to sort through to decide which to use to make sure you have the right hardware. Quantity is EXACTLY what is needed. No shortage…no spares. I thought I had an extra washer but because the packaging is so good I doubted my work and found I missed a washer. Assembly was straightforward. No written instructions but if you can’t figure it out you may not have basic skills and probably would never would have ordered this tool in the first place. Drawers smoothly operate and close securely. Seat sits the right height for me. I’m 6’3”. The spray can holder is a handy addition. Parts tray between your legs is perfect and two sliding drawers are very useful. I now own two of these for two different shops.Expensive? Your call. I value good tools. I have purchased at least two other roller chairs that I’ll never use anymore. They were a waste of money.If you need something that you will move around to different locations, this will be heavy especially if you load a few tools in it. If it will stay in a single shop, the weight is r a problem. I highly recommend this roller chair.I hope this was useful.
