Item is heavy and very beefy! I just wish it had a drain plug.

Solid cover! This was part of my Dana 30 beef-up project and it fit great. I painted it black and red, and it’s now visible with my OTK steering kit.

I will admit that I am a fan of Poison Spider products. So I decided to try the Bombshell Diff covers as the last time I went off-roading .. I ended up cracking the bottom of the stock rear diff cover.Pros:- Heavy Duty- Think Casing- SolidCons:- Not cheap but not the most expensive eitherSo I read a lot of reviews on these covers for my Dana 44 differentials. I decided that since I like that brand anyways, I would give them a try as opposed to the ARB covers I usually install. Firstly, these covers are roughly half the price of the ARB covers. I did do some impact testing on the Poison Spider and Stock differential covers.Various tools from hammers to mallets to sledges. I have to say that I was actually impressed with the stock covers ability to take damage. However, it was obvious damage and dents. With enough off-roading and strikes to the cover … I can see how it could start to interfere with the internal parts. The Poison Spider cover took all the same punishment without hardly a mar or blemish to the cover. Extremely impressed with the cover. Another feature about the cover that I like is that it is slightly smaller than the casing. Which helps to protect the cover from peeling or taking direct strike damage to the joint surface. The installation was simple enough and took me about 2 1/2 hours. Actual work time 90 minutes. But I wanted to ensure that all of the brake cleaner had evaporated that I was unable to towel out. I did decide to use Lube Lockers with this cover, which made the job so much easier. However, the front cover proved to be much more difficult to remove and install the new cover. As it is a much tighter space and several of the bolts area difficult to reach. I also decided not to get the black powder coated cover .. as to me it just didn’t fit my Jeep style. I did however, incorporate the Rock Red color into the raised spider on the cover .. which I like much better.I read several reviews about the bolts failing. My installation I was able to torque my down without any issue. I have not had a chance to test out this cover yet but plan to in the next week. My hopes are high that these will stand up to the same punishment that I have experienced with the ARB covers. I really like the style and look of this cover. Extremely happy with this purchase so far.***UPDATE***I forgot to mention that I had read some older posts saying the fill hole was too low. Perhaps the cover design has changed, I don’t know. All I can confirm is that the holes in the bombshell covers I installed are in the same location as the stock cover. I could not find any issues with the location of the fill hole.

Definitely feels heavy duty, I cannot imagine rolling or peeling the lip on this. Paired this with a lubelocker seal and so far no leaks. Don’t be too impressed with the paint job, rust converter, black roll bar paint and the I simply traced the spider with a paint pen.Cover looks great, wish they made to fit the rear.Once I bash it on some rocks, I’ll take more photos.

Fit perfectly on my 91 Wrangler with Dana 30 axle. Sprayed it with black engine block paint, highlighted with a Molotow Liquid Chrome pen, the 2-part clear for durability.
