The 4 wire alternator/regulator set up on my 1977 Bobcat 720 failed. A regulator was not exactly on anyone’s shelf. I decided to convert it over to a single wire design and consequently less spaghetti under the cab. The alternator was an exact replacement 10si unit. I changed the pulley and removed the fan and eased it into the small opening. Fired the old 4 cylinder Wisconsin up and it was charging at 14.2. I lowered the cab and have not given it another thought. Runs much better now and I worry one heck of a lot less as the regulator was in a bad spot and was getting exposed to water. No more external regulator, no more worries.

Product works well, however if your counting on it actually showing up on time forget it. I planned on a order on Monday install it on Saturday. Well it was delivered on Monday. Don’t count on delivery to be anywhere close to what they say.

I replaced the original alternator and charging system on Foton 404 tractor. Instructions said to run ground from alternator to chassis, which I did. It is working great! Took about 4 hours to convert.

Never used as purchased, I converted it to a 6 volt positive ground alternator, but the internals all looked to be of very good quality. If I need a 12 Volt Negative ground 1 wire alternator I would not hesitate to purchase another one.

I needed to rotate the housing to fit my application. When you do, the motor brushes and springs will pop out. Starting with the brush closest to the bearing, compress spring with brush and insert small cotter pin (or small brad nail). Then move to the next brush. Once reassembled remove the cotter pin to release the brushes.Very happy with my purchase!

Fit my Dresser TD-9H bulldozer perfectly and the single wire setup couldn’t get any simpler. It also has a ground lug on it, that I used. The pulleys were different but it didn’t take long to switch them out. Seems to be working great so far!

Bought it to change out my alternator on the old school John Deere 401B Tractor. 4 cyl diesel. Switched out my pulley on it and good to go. Charges well, as it should.
