Just what I needed to fix starting issues I was having with my Jeep. Its in a tough location to remove, so make sure you have a pivoting ratchet and plenty of extensions. There’s an easy way to test the existing sensor with an ohmmeter before you try and remove it, so I suggest googling how to test your existing first. Almost double the price of a cheap sensor, but I generally don’t buy aftermarket sensors because of bad luck in the past.

I read MANY reviews on CPS. I took the advice of people who said to use the MOPAR original. I am glad I did as this was not a real simple job to install on my 2000 Jeep Cherokee. I had my brother help me and it worked out well. It seems to work better with 4 hands instead of 2. After the install, it cranked right up and has been running flawlessly since. I do recommend this product and I didn’t get any free stuff or anything to tell you that.

Expensive but OEM. Works as it should. Doesn’t fix the design problem of the sensor, but my less expensive knock off only lasted 3 months. Replacement is a PITA, so I recommend not cheaping out. Buying another for back up.

Read many blogs which all say use factory only parts on your Jeeps especially electronic sensors such as this on. This was the exact replacement for my 2001 Cherokee with 4.0L. The price was the best I could find on the internet at the time. Highly recommend this factory part.

Got the P0320 OBDII code after my 1998 Jeep Cherokee XJ 4.0 automatic 4×4 stalled. (98 has distributor). Previously replaced with a cheap generic sensor which failed again in 3 weeks !! I was left stranded again. Get this Mopar OEM which is way better quality, with a much stronger sensor/magnet inside. Pigtail wire is VERY SHORT. In general, a PAIN to install that took 35+ minutes, (but removal took only 10 minutes). Hint: Replace your failing distributor pick up coil sensor too – that’s only a 4 minute job.UPDATE – 2 years later – NO worries whatsoever. I get in and drive my old jeep 60 miles daily, never ever, thinking about this sensor again.Pay once, cry once, or break down randomly 2 times a year.

Struggled to find a mopar crank sensor for the XJ. This one came from the seller ‘rockbottomauto’ and appears to be a legit mopar sensor. Manufactured 7/2023.

So far so good, it’s suppose to be the Mopar part. So will wait and see. I am glad to find the original Mopar part.
