Winterizing
Winterizing is not just for December, January, and February, it can be cold enough in some places the rest of the year to cause the water to freeze in the hose and crack internal parts. Turn off and drain water from the unit when the temperature dips, even if you don’t do a full winterization.
Tighten it up
Rough roads can shake connections loose. Checking on the tightness of connections periodically, will prevent water leaks and damage.
Cleaning
Cleaning around the connection points and inside the inner box to be sure there is no buildup of dirt or debris, will not only alert you to potential issues it will also keep the unit looking good and ready to use.
Replace
Sometimes you just need to replace worn or degraded parts to prevent extensive damage. Always check for recyclable parts and dispose of other parts properly to protect our recreational areas for future campers.

My husband used the info on our old shower to find this replacement. It’s a perfect fit and the screw holes line up perfectly. My only complaint is that it didn’t come with a shower head holder clip. Luckily we still had our old one and just swapped it over.

I liked the fact this outdoor shower is exactly like the one from my 2009 camper and fit perfectly where all screws lined up making installation a breeze. The only downfall (in my eyes) is after its installed, the 5’ hose is taking up room inside the bathroom sink floor cabinet.

I was not impressed with this replacement. I was swapping it out for the same one that had split after freezing (not a quality issue). The new knobs were very difficult to turn and the hose is set to mount directly backward. This means that if you pull it all the way out, you can break the plastic connectors.
