Made in the USA – A new replacement 4 piece lower unit gear set for most 1989-2005 lower units for the Johnson and Evinrude 40, 48, and 50 hp outboard motors. This set comes with the Forward Gear, Reverse Gear, Clutch Dog, and the Pinion. It is a direct replacement in both ratio and specs to the original gear set. The OE part numbers that this gear set replaces are 397627, 0397627, 332489, 0332489, 332491, 0332491.

Turned out to be a easy fix, I have no experience doing this.. couple YouTube videos new parts saved lotta money.. old clutch broke last week on the river.. I wish the spring that locks the pin in place came with the kit.. bought it separately..

Exact match for my ‘00 Johnson 50. Smooth process if you have more than a basic level of mechanical skills. Changed everything out, ran it on the water for a couple miles using both forward and reverse. Then changed the fluid in the lower unit.
