I bought this product based on the majority of good reviews. I followed the directions as specified and it failed to work. The cleaner was very good but the adhesive would not set up. After holding my mirror’s block to the glass for two minutes, the block fell off. After a second attempt with holding the block to the glass with tape, 24 hours later the block fell off again and it was clear the adhesive had not cured at all. Maybe I got a bad batch but I cannot recommend this product at all. I have used many loctite products in the past but was sorely disappointed in this one.I used a small dollup of JB weld epoxy I had in the garage and the mirror is now rock solid.

I set up squad cars for a living and use this to mount the metal tabs to the windshields for the video camera systems used to record out the front of the car. I can tell you first hand that this stuff works as long as you follow the instructions. 1. Make sure the windshield is at or near room temperature or warmer. This stuff may not set right on a cold windshield. 2. I clean the glass with rubbing alcohol first and make sure it’s dry before proceeding. 3. I apply the primer to “one” surface only. I choose to put the primer on the glass since it’s easier to put the glue on the tab while it’s in your hands. Let the primer dry for 1-2 minutes. 4. Apply 1-2 drops of glue to the center of the metal tab on the side that is going to go towards the glass, then press and hold it to the windshield. It usually adheres to the windshield fairly fast so you should only have to hold it there for up to 30 seconds. Since I reuse the metal tabs in switching camera systems between cars, I like to rough up the glued side of the metal tab with my bench grinder before installation to remove the old glue and to help the new glue stick better. Once the tab is on the windshield, I prefer to wait at least 1-2 hours before I hang anything from the metal tabs to assure the glue has set up properly. FYI – In my younger years I’ve put the primer on both the windshield and the metal tab thinking it would cure the glue faster, but saw increased fail rates in tabs falling off the windshields. Some of this could be caused by extremely high temperatures during the summer time, but wanted to throw it out there as a caution.

You can go to the parts house and buy the little kit to re-attach your mirror if you want to but it will likely be back on the floor soon. This is the correct stuff for the job. Just clean everything good, use the primer in the kit, put a drop of the glue on the button and hold it in place on the glass for 30-45 seconds and it will be there for a long time.

I got this because I saw a Safelite tech using it. He applied the primer then right after the adhesive and it was like magic man. After 1 minute this dude was hammering on a Ford mirror onto the mirror button that glues to the windshield. Bad design on ford’s part. Don’t use any of those 1 time use products. They all suck. If you have to do more than 5 button glueings or if you have to do it for your job on the regular, get this stuff. This is the one and only product you should by. Shoot even if you use it only once! Well worth it! Saves me the headache and the time wasted while that other crap dries for 30 min to an hour and still fall off😭takes legit not even 2 minutes. One issue though that only happened once; the spray nozzle got stuck on the primer and ended up bricking the can. Still worth of though😂😂

I have used other glues and adhesives with no long term success. This product on the other hand works as advertised. The process is simple and quick. Just follow the instructions.

I intentionally removed my existing rear view mirror button on my 2001 Jeep Wrangler to move it to the bottom of the windshield. Then the headache began. I attempted to glue the button on the windshield at the new location seven times with four different single use glue kits from my local auto parts stores. I would let it set anywhere from one hour to 72 hours. Each time the button appeared to be glued but popped off the first time I slid the mirror on the button. Within five minutes of mounting the button with this Loctite kit the mirror held tight. I’ll never go back to the single use kits.
