Hit some debris on the interstate and it busted my OEM plastic skid plate (rattled all the way home). Can’t believe Tesla cheaped out with this panel – it protects the front motor! This skid plate is actually for a Model 3 (don’t need the access door) but it fit perfect. Put it on some ramps and had it changed in 30 minutes. I had some difficulty getting the two large 15mm nuts on as the aluminum panel does not flex like the plastic, but I used a jack to push the panel up until I could get the nuts threaded. This skid plate does not come with any hardware so if you are missing any bolts/nuts you will need to pick some up at your local hardware store. Have seen this skid plate advertised for over $300…save your $ and get this!

Got this front skid plate to replace factory felt cover. All holes align good except two 16mm nut holes, those are not deep enough, had to push in the whole plate, but then it stays bent and I think its not good for aerodynamics, so decided not to put those 16mm on. Other than that all good. Noise dampening pad glued well. For $100 its a good deal.

I ran over a puddle from the rain while driving and damaged my the original splash guard. As others mentioned this metal replacement is a higher quality material than the plastic oem splash guard. All of the 10mm holes lined up and installed easily. The two 16mm holes are not deep enough and I had to leave them off (the reason for 4/5 stars). Despite the two 16mm nuts not being installed, this seems sturdy, durable, and secure.I did notice a little more road noise while driving. Very happy with this, the plastic OEM cover had several holes in it and I found a dead bird stuck in there. :(The metal is solid, and I really like the soundproofing material on one side. One corner was slightly bent as other reviews mentioned but It was easy to bend it back using a pair of pliers. I put the car on ramps for installation which was very easy.Several other reviews mentioned the larger bolts were too short, but my cover came with new nuts and washers that worked perfectly. Not sure if that’s a new addition to the product or if the other reviews missed them in the box.Seems like a very quality product as a very reasonable price. Thank you!

Bought a used 2022 LR M3 and low and behold….no front skid plate. Bought this hoping for the best. Should not have even been hoping and just been confident that this was going to do the trick because it did do the trick! Came very well packaged, total plug and play, now have a solid skid plate in the front, metal, and nothing to worry about. For the price….you cannot beat this.

Went on in less than a half hour every bolt hole matched and I used all of the factory 10 mm bolts and the included Allen bolts took the place of the factory 15mm nuts . Just be sure to only start the bolts until they are all in before you tighten any of them. Great fit and like others have said, much better than the factory plastic shield.

Made well, LOVE the vented holes but ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT FIT THE 2021 MODEL Y, you cant have those little arms on a model y that this has. This was made for the model 3. Does it still fit? yes but not without seriously bolting down the plate. Easy to install and feels pretty damn tough, just wish it properly fit. Go get a Mountain Pass performance plate if you need it for the Model Y
