This original equipment module is the one to buy if you need a high certainty of fixing your rig the first time.I tried two different pairs of aftermarket modules with 4-1/2 stars because I am thrifty and retired. The first set had one module that was machined wrong and the second pair fit but did not function.My engine is part of an integral hydraulic pump buried in a skid steer and cannot be bench tested so I used up a bunch of time and patience doing the entire job twice – which for me was about 2 days each time. Plus waiting for the parts to arrive.

Ok… the install part of that question and rating isn’t the coils’ fault. It’s the mower for being so difficult to access the danged things. Now the second question about value for money is relevant. I appreciate branded and assumed to be higher quality parts – but come on, these are 4 times more expensive than the Chinese knockoffs. AND I’d bet if you knew which factory in China these came from – you know they did – then you could have bought them without a brand labeled box and saved a crap ton of money. BUT. They worked. I didn’t have to take the mower apart 3 times just to get two working coils like so many of the unbranded ones show in their reviews. But come on Kohler… you don’t have to make all your profit on one little part! I’m sick of these stupidly inflated prices over the last couple of years. Consumers are getting hung out to dry just for needing to live and at these prices we’ll eventually have to just start buying everything right off the boat and skip the American branded stuff… because we aren’t rich!

Got my ol kohler back up and rolling please make sure if u buying coils make sure u look at the ol part and match with new parts if not u going to be out of pocket like I was always because I failed to really look at the numbers on the coils

The terminal is on the same side as the plug wire, My oem coil has it on the opposite side (picture in the add is incorrect). My wiring harness will not reach this terminal location.
