The intake is great! It was super easy to install, it took less than an hour. Precise fit for my 2014 Mazda 3. I could instantly notice the difference. More hp, mostly in the higher rpms. The change is subtle, but it’s there. It’s sounds cool to! She has a nice little growl now as I hit the pedal. There has been a slight drop in mpg, probably from accelerating harder since the install. Oops…

This is supposed to be compatible withI 2013/2014 Mazda skyactiv models. I can confirm this is false.I didn’t do enough research before hand. It makes sense that this CAI is either compatible with 2013 OR 2014, as they are two different generations. Unfortunately it’s compatible with the 2014. I figure this or after getting the past and trying to install it.Looking at the install manual, and under my hood the manual matches the 2014 model.I interacted k&n and showed them many photos and was very descriptive, only to be told they would have their r&d look into it. After months of waiting, I called back. They said their r&d can’t find one of the most popular cars on the market and to keep waiting, AND to put in my original Mazda air setup. They did also offer one of their filters that for the original setup, but I declined.Months later, and still no resolution.I will never buy another part from k&n again and will recommend anyone else.

Great results so far on my 2016 Mazda 3. Much better and deeper engine noise and was a fairly easy install. Minimal drone on the highway and easy to keep quiet during city driving. However I would highly recommend adding needle nose pliers to the tools list for this job due to a mounting bracket that was quite a pain to reach when removing the stock airbox. Overall it took about 45 minutes to install and am very satisfied with the end result.

GUUUUUUURRRRRRRR!!! Sounds great, and didn’t change my fuel eco at all. I Have a Mazda 3 Sport GT. My wife and I have the same vehicle. She has the stock intake, and we are both getting the same fuel economy. We average 27.5 MPG combined with sport mode on most of the time. Buy the Intake for the 2.0 engine, remove the plastic sleeve insert, and install this intake to the 2.5. The two kits are the same, except the 2.0 comes with an additional reducer sleeve, is black, and cost less. I prefer the look of the black, and this kit is cheaper then the unpainted silver 2.5 unit.

easy install as long as you have all the tools required.i have a cx5 2018 2.0 gas, it works better in sport mode but sport mode is limited until 80km/hr. normal mode is ok makes growl sound in higher revs you can feel the difference… low revs “ok” if you are in low revs i recommend sport mode. overall good if u like the sound.

It was an easy install, gains are apparent, sound is apparent.. The car does want to shift out of the lower gears quicker than usual but that is kind of to be expected. I cannot wait till I install the Borla Type S on there next Tuesday. The sound with this filter is going to be amazing!

Looks good and actually adds power. It does a good job blocking the engine heat. Only thing that I don’t care for is the increase in noise. Gas mileage didn’t improve at all in city it stays at 32.5(mpg avg.), highway 33.1 max. in (trip avg.) although I don’t do too much highway maybe 3 hours both ways. (Speed avg. at 24mph)
