I had a broken plastic piece and figured I might as well try fixing it, so I ordered the plastic welding kit.It worked better than expected. I soon found more plastic pieces to repair. I would suggest getting a small grinding tool (like a drumell) to sand down the metal ends. I’m using a metal file till I find a grinder I like.

Easy to use, variety of staple patterns.. it heats up and gently push it flush into plastic. Let cool, then cut the 2 thin metal sticking out. Excellent tool..

So easy to use and handy not having to drag a cord. This is worth the slight extra cost for such a great plastic welder. I have used it several times and only charged it when I first received it. Once you practice a few repairs, it becomes very simple to pick up and make quick repairs. The pliers supplied are heavy duty but not flush cut so I don’t use the supplied pliers much. I already have flush cut side pliers and end snips. To use just insert staple, press button, insert into plastic the correct depth and release heat trigger until cool enough to pull tool away without pulling out staple.
