I didn’t particularly want to pay this much for a ball joint. The Moog was significantly less, but the Moog replacement had grooves that supposedly help it fit better, but also prevented you from using anything other than a Moog in the future. I called around to my local Honda dealerships and they all wanted significantly more than this Amazon price (around $80 when I bought it), so I bought this and I’m glad I did. The replacement process went smoothly and it seems as close to the original as possible. If you’re doing this replacement using the Advance Auto Ball Joint Kit, just keep in mind that the cups don’t work to remove the original – you’ll have to hammer it out. The kit does work for installing the new one.

Although Honda/Acura are made comparatively reliable & durable, both upper & lower ball joints eventually need replaced. It is more so in New England region or wherever the road surfaces are not well-maintained. The lower ball joints take more toll/impact. A Honda tech told me ball joints on Hondas are quite durable, but as the price keeps going up every year, I bought a pair. The lower ball joint has gone up by $20 or so in the last few years, but the upper ball joint (integrated with the upper arm and cannot be replaced individually) has gone up from about $50 to $150.My ride is 2004 TL, and although Amazon indicates this doesn’t fit, it actually does fit because the part number is the exact same. These are made in Japan so the quality is assured. Replacement requires either a ball joint removal/installation tool or a hydraulic press. If you live in a snow belt, you might want to apply sealant to the nut & threads after installation.

My husband is a mechanic and he replaced an OEM Honda ball joint in my 2007 Honda Accord about a year ago with an aftermarket ball joint because it was cheaper. Lesson learned when replacing a Honda ball joint in an Accord with a non OEM part. Don’t do it! Stick with the OEM when replacing a front Honda Accord lower ball joint or else you will be replacing it in a year. My husband researched it more this time and sure enough almost all the reviews he read said the same thing. Spend the money on an OEM ball joint. This one works great. At least now when I go to sell my car I know it won’t go bad in a year.

Used it on my 04 tsx and these are just perfect in my car now , no more medal clunking and I suggest freezing these before installing them, makes for an easier Installation.

Works great for my 2005 Acura TL, just glad I can still oem ball joints for my 20 year old car. Takes a little finesse to install. Fits good and price is good too.
