This is a very helpful piece of kit if you use a RV in winter, and while it’s not cold enough to really require this yet, it adds a lot of peace of mind for the coming winter. It’s fairly solidly made, it seems like it will last years of somewhat careful use. It was big enough to slide over the sewer drain line, and seems to have smart controls. It won’t turn on when it’s not needed, which makes this very easy to manage, and it’s also supposed to avoid overheating. Just in case, I will keep an eye on it, but so far, it seems to be working reliably. Considering the annoyance when lines freeze, this seems like a good addition to any RV.

Taking this product out of the package, you’ll be impressed with the weight; it is made of a heavy material and solid fittings. To enclose the sewer hose, lay out the heater hose, lay your sewer hose on it, and fold to connect the velcro strip. The covering remains tight and secure, and the electrical connections are easy to use. Although I haven’t had to use it in freezing conditions yet, I’m impressed with the construction and design and have every confidence that it will prevent freezing. As a long term full timer, I try to avoid cold weather, but now I have the confidence that getting caught in freezing conditions won’t be a problem for emptying my tanks.
