New GL1800 install. Having problems with the left side. Was tripping the breaker on occasion, so contacted GLK. Tried to adjust the bottom limiter tab, but it didn’t help regardless of where the limiter was. Tried calling GLK, but the contact number answering system is not in English. Support by email is difficult because of language challenges. Instruction manual is vague and basic. They are a good company and try to please, but much gets lost in translation. I think once I get this one side working properly, the item will be an awesome product. Right side works flawlessly from minute one.

I’ve been riding a GL1800 for five years, I’m 5 feet nothing tall and just turned 70. Once I’m moving I’m fine with the bike and love it but backing it out of the garage and turning around in my driveway is getting harder and I have dropped it a couple of times. With the landing gear I can now sit on the bike, back it out of the garage and turn it around in the driveway with no worries. I don’t use them at every stop but it’s good to know they are there when I need them. I hope with the landing gear I will be able to ride my Goldwing for many years to come.

Had the Landing Gear installed on my 2009 Goldwing by a Columbus dealer. I weigh about 185 pounds. Right side landing gear wheel buckled in – while still under warranty. GLK would not back their warranty. You push a button and the wheels go up or down. If they buckle this easily, I can understand why GLK won’t back their warranty, and claim that it is the user’s fault. Not a happy rider at this time. I never will buy another GLK product.
