Amazon may say this part fits, but it does not fit my 2004 Taco with the 3.4L V6. Toyota has discontinued this part and the only way to get a new one is to buy in bulk from a Chinese manufacturer. Also, the dealer wants to sell you an entire throttle body for $1,200. I took my old TBS off, blew it out and re-installed it. The truck runs like new and the hesitation is completely gone. It appears it was just dirty. It has not had a hiccup in a month and a half!

Fits perfect and got my truck running happy. Only issue you’ll run into is the nightmare of installing it. I would definitely suggest getting an Allen key tool with a Phillip’s screw head on the end. Incredibly tight behind the manifold, and the EGR valve is in the way. Remove all the vacuum lines and the throttle cable first. Don’t drop the 2 tiny screws that hold it in place! You will regret it. If you can, remove the EGR valve too. But keep in mind that the bolts holding that on are really tough to get to as well

Came in a genuine Toyota box, was the correct part, installed without a problem, an exact match for my old TPS on my 1999 Toyota 4Runner V6 limited. The price was sweet for OEM. Great deal. Two weeks and its working perfectly still. Fixed my check engine light. Just FYI for others the screws for the TPS are not standard phillips but are actually JIS. I stripped the top one using a phillips before finding that out.

The Toyota Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) I purchased is a genuineToyoya part. It was an exact fit in my 2002 Toyota Tacoma 4×4 V6 SR5 Double Cab pickup. Before you purchase, take a digital photo of your TPS to verify the product code and that you are buying the correct part for your vehicle. Do not rely on Amazon’s computer system for verification as it showed this part would not fit my vehicle and it was wrong as you can see in the digital photo I uploaded to my review. I sprayed the TPS screws with lubricant a day before removing it. The installation of the TPS is simple and should take maybe 20 minutes or less. My checked engine light is gone. My scan tool showed verified no codes. My Tacoma is operating smoothly and efficiently with the new TPS.

The price for a genuine Toyota part was a great value. Before purchasing genuine Toyota throttle position senser I replaced 3 other sensers. They would last about 2 to 3 months then quit. So far Tacoma is running good again. Gas mileage back to normal.
