So I got this for my dad for his birthday. He’s a 72-year old mechanic who restores old cars at home now as he’s halfway retired. He would not stop raving about it – telling me all its features and how amazing it is. Basically I did a lot of research and this closed container that has a detachable funnel so it’s got a wide mouth for catching the oil is perfect because you don’t have to worry about is splashing out or spilling when moving it!

If you’re sloppy anything can make a gooey mess, but used with just a little care this pan is just about spill proof. The car I use this with isn’t particularly low to the ground, but the flat tank combined with the clever screw-on funnel design pretty much eliminates splash, even with antifreeze. I have happily discarded all of the (many) old, crummy pans I’ve used over the years, this makes them all obsolete.
