The large straight-through smooth core offers up a different sound than that typical “chambered” sound that Flowmaster has become famous for. These new FlowFX mufflers have a compact 4.00 inch diameter round body that will fit nicely on just about any application and feature a fully welded 409S stainless steel case for increased durability.

Very nicely welded, and works wonderfully. I was having a rasp problem on my lexus, and the car sounded tinny. By adding this it instantly fixed my tinny sound, and made it more deep and aggressive sounding. It does make your car louder, but if you want that with a deeper tone this is for you! I’d suggest pairing this with some vibrant resonators for a nice sound!

If you prefer deep moderate sound at low rpm’s and no drone while cruising on the highway, then this muffler is a good option. Quality of the material is good but not good as 304 stainless steel. My crown Vic sounds good with this muffler, would sound great if I was running true dual exhaust.

I was after a bit more sound from my 2003 5.3L Tahoe when I purchased the FlowFX. After having this muffler on my truck for several months now I can say it’s definitely louder but it wasn’t quite the sound I was looking for. There’s nothing wrong with it and this is actually a really nice sounding muffler if you’re looking for a really smooth sounding exhaust. I would say this is mellower (if that’s even a word) then most of the magnaflows I have heard. That being said the flowFX does sound fuller imo then other Flowmaster mufflers out there. Much less tin can sounding and more like a Magnaflow. I personally like my exhaust to have a little more of a throaty sound to it and this was just too bass heavy for me.The biggest down side by far is the presents of drone. After reading some reviews on here, there’s a handful of people claiming that the drone isn’t bad or is very tolerable but to each their own. I would say this is a solid 6/10 on the drone scale. It’s not the worst drone I have heard but it’s enough to bother the family on road trips. For this reason I will be removing it from the Tahoe and am going to replace it with something else.I don’t fault the muffler for this at all as it’s not really claiming to be drone free. The construction of the muffler is good and looks to be high quality. If you don’t care about drone and are looking for a smooth and mellow sounding muffler this will do.

Super cost effective solution to your own custom exhaust. Other complete cat back solutions from other performance exhaust producers were much more expensive, so I decided to build my own. These were installed in short order and performed the same duty and intent for much less. Super satisfied, used two to replace the single OEM dual outlet factory muffler. Pros – great sound, great look, cost effective Cons – ummm none that I can think of. Do your research and see what other pieces like hangers, piping and other materials you’ll need.

I put this on my 5.3 LS4 Impala, previously had a muffler and res delete and just recently got a downpipe which made it really loud and had too much rasp and drone. Put this FlowFX res and got rid of the annoying rasp and quiet it down a bit as well, even got rid of the rasp from a cold start up and has a little deeper tone to it. Well worth it!

This muffler woke up my 2006 Land Cruiser that has a V8 in it. Makes the truck sound great without being overpowering. If you want to have a good sounding muffler without the serious loud drone at highway speeds, this is a good option. Price is right as well!

These worked perfect on both my Vovlo and Ram 1500 after I deleted original mufflers and went to these straight pipe versions. Kept my back pressure in tact and allowed more exhaust flow. I would recommend on any vehicle. Great price point on Amazon.
