Description
The Edelbrock Performer Intake Manifold is manufactured from aluminum and given a natural finish. They feature a patented runner design and have a non-EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) style. This boosts the torque and horsepower over a wide RPM range, from off-idle to 5, 500 RPM. This Performer Series intake is for 4-barrel carburetors and it has a square bore flange. They accept late-model choke, water neck, alternator, and air conditioning brackets and have provisions for oil filler tube.

Would you expect anything less than 5 stars from them. I’ve never been disappointed in one of their products, and this one is no different. I bought this to convert my Land Rove 4.0l to a carb to eliminate Lucas from my life. Land Rover owners will know what I mean. The Land Rover V8 is a Buick 215 design and shares a lot of parts.

i took the EFI out of my 1988 range rover classic (3.5 L) and stuck on this manifold with a 500cfm edelbrock carb. i had to make a few things work but anyone with basic mechanical ability will be able to make it work. so far so good. check it out on instagram at @1988rangeroverclassic and feel free to ask questions

No surprises on the Quality product I’ve come to expect from edelbrock since I’ve been using their products since the 80’s. However it’s very frustrating to not be able to easily find plugs of fittings for the threaded holes. The standard edelbrock plug kit does not contain the right plugs. I am also unable to find proper thread plugs and unable to find proper brass fitting to connect water temperature probe. I guess if I spend time on it I will find them. It’s just not convenient at all.

Test fit on my 97 4.0 rover V8 and it fits just right. There is enough material to port match if you want.It’s probably the best part of the whole engine. It’s more than the stock heads need.I am happy edlebrock even make this for the rover v8.
