I couldn’t tell a difference between this material and the original. It was way cheaper to do this than buy a whole new assembly. be careful with the thin wiring taped to the headline as it’s easily ripped. This material however was perfect for what I needed.

Perfect, OEM color match for a four door 2008 GTI (MK5, BPY engine) with the charcoal (dark gray) cloth interior. The Headliner in my Mk6 GTI had deteriorated. This is an almost perfect match for the original fabric. Better quality foam & fabric than original. Easy to work with and only by close inspection to the original can anyone tell it’s not the same. Highly recommend.
