This CURT forged loaded ball mount features a gross trailer weight capacity of 20,000 lbs. and a tongue weight capacity of 2,000 lbs. It comes with a 2-5/16″ trailer ball, making it an excellent choice for towing most heavy-duty trailers, including large boat trailers, double-axle utility trailers, deluxe campers, livestock trailers and recreational vehicle trailers used for hauling motorcycles, personal watercraft and ATVs (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest weight capacity of any towing component; i.e. the vehicle, hitch, trailer, etc). This ball mount also has a drop of 2″ and comes with a durable carbide black powder coat finish to resist rust, chipping and UV damage. Listing for “CURT 45371 Forged Trailer Hitch Mount with 2-5/16-Inch Ball & Pin”. The hitch is 5 star. Excellent hitch. The customer service is “0” star. Received sealed box from Curt. No pin & clip enclosed. Called and repeatedly emailed Curt. They brushed me off with corporate mumbo jumbo gaslighting handling nonsense. What a disappointment. Said I needed to contact Amazon, despite the item being shipped from Curt. I eventually called Amazon who after some back and forth credited me the $7.95 + tax cost of buying a separate Curt 21580 pin & clip. (that should have been incl. in Curt box) The problem has been resolved after I invested 3+ hrs of my time. Curt should have just gracefully sent me a pin & clip. Note that countless Comments on Amazon for many Curt hitches detail the same complaint — and yet, nothing is done.
