I bought these because I couldn’t find smaller/shallower tire studs, and while they do work… at least 10 of the 50 were poor casts, and didn’t work with the tool provided. That is a failure rate of 20%? At 85 cents a stud? I think with shipping cost – they are over a dollar a stud?!?As far as markup per item? This is an astonishing poor price – especially with the high rate of flawed units. But they do work, hence the 2 stars.

It should have been about $20 for this, I should have paid more attention. Beware , you get a small handful of studs for over $60. I bought from 4 different sellers at the same time. To compare…

I used these studs on my Coleman 200u minibike on the stock tires and they work fantastic! I use my bike for ice fishing and after a whole season I have not had a single one fall out. Due to their extra wide threads they hold in place very well, even after running over ice, asphalt, dirt and random concrete here and there. I went from riding with both legs out to the side at all times to being able to accelerate/break/turn on the ice fully comfortable in doing so because of these studs! My only complaint is that less than 1% of the studs will have a random spur or something out of place on the head which makes it fit in the bit adapter kind of crooked or weird but even those can still be worked in with a little extra care. They also do not tear up the rubber like I expected they would which means I could potentially take them out or move them around very easily if I desired to.I have recommend these to a lot of people out on the ice who ask about them and I tell them they work much better than the usual zip screw other people have traditionally used. In my opinion, very much worth the purchase for ultimate stability on the ice!

Easy to install – but to call it a spike. I have had pimples protrude further!I would like it if the mfgr. increased the diameter on the base, and extend the length 1/16″The good news is that none came out – time will tell!

I have studded tires that are about 7 yrs old. Still have good tread on them, but about half the studs were ground down flat. I removed the wore out studs with a screwdriver and then installed these, about 50 in each tire. They were easy to install with a power screw gun and the special included tool. Best to use areas of tread where no prior stud had been for a more secure installation. Ran 60 mph for a few miles on the way to work and did not hear any hit in the wheelwell, so seem to be secure. Hoping to add a few extra seasons to the life of the tires.
