I drilled a little hole in bottom of tail gate, fished wire through with a coat hanger. Ran to cab along with reverse light switch wire to activate it. Resolution is great! It does seem to point more downward than I’d like. Great for attaching the boat trailer and plowing!

The camera is good enough but as others have mentioned the fit could be better. The radius if the handle isn’t a great match to the radius of the tailgate.

So I tried to install this on my 2001 f250. My f250 did not come with this camera option so I was just going to run through my Kenwood deck. That being said I didn’t think about this until I got it there’s absolutely no way to run the RCA through the tailgate hinge or anywhere else that would leave it not exposed to anything that you load in and out of your pickup truck I just thought it was going to be a bigger hassle than it was worth. Also it didn’t really fit that well in the hole where the handle goes. I just opted to send it back it was too much of a hassle.

Works great. Only complaint is the picture quality isn’t anything special. Simple to install. Cable is already wrapped in split loom and is plenty long even for a 4door long bed f250. Will work great for when hooking up to a trailer. Best part is that it looks factory. Doesn’t look out of place like those license plate frame cameras.
