The latch bar was bent when it arrived. We could not figure out why it would not latch down. After looking at it for hours we realized the latch bar was bent and the latch was bent. Arrived this way out of the box. It was too late to return the item so we are stuck with a simi-functioning seat latch. After bending everything back into place, we were finally able to get it to latch but its almost impossible to take off now.

The seat upon arrivalAstetically looked good.Should have more stairs holding down cover.When I first tried the seat, the rear latch bent( not much moulded plastic holding/covering the metal reinforcement within the latch)Allowing it to bend. I was able to straighten and 8 put a spring under it to make sure and help it stay latched.. at this point for the price, I’m ok with it.
