the rubber around the “bubble ” noise damper ripped after about a week on vehicle , causing a air leak and a high idle . it was very hard to install.

I got this air intake hose to replace my factory OEM intake which was cracked. it was recommended to be replaced by the smog check technician in order to pass smog.The air intake hose fits, it’s an aftermarket intake hose. Meaning it’s not directly from Honda. For the price and what it serves, I could care less that it was not from Honda.The intake hose fits really well, a little on the snug side over the throttle body and the air box. It takes some elbow grease to get it on. That actually is what you want, a tight seal.The reason why I am giving it 4 stars and not 5 is because of the screw clamps, the air intake hose has little nubs to keep the clamps from rotating, it actually makes it difficult to tighten down the clamps because the screw terminals are now located at the bottom and makes it hard to reach. It was not really a big deal as I took the old clamps off my old air intake hose and reused them.The rubber is decent, not thin and is flexible. Overall, I’m happy with this purchase.
