Does anyone know how to tell if it is working and heating properly?? The light is on at the plug. I dont feel anything warm when its just below 32 degress. Also which part is the thermostat. The long black piece that sticks out where it screws into the camper or near the water supply??

I live in a RV 5th wheel trailer year round. The temp can drop to 19F at night. I would run water at night to keep my water hose from freezing up. So far the heated hose is working great.Wish I had bought this sooner.
