    This seems to be a great idea and I was excited to have a nice portable battery option without spending $180 on the battery for my Bodegacooler cooler. It does work and powers my cooler just fine but I am concerned it is going to ruin my expensive Dewalt batteries. I hooked this to a DC power supply to test whether it had low voltage protection. I figured it did since it has some kind of circuitry for USB power. I took it all the way down to 11V which is what my cooler said was the input voltage the whole time. The adapter never did shut off power to the cooler. The minimum voltage for the Dewalt batteries is in the 15 range so this would totally ruin a battery if you left it unattended.In the end it does what it is supposed to but has no protection for your battery so use it with caution and stop to check how many bars are left so you don’t run them too far down.

    Well it killed my battery. No low volt safety cutoff. Drained my battery voltage too low.This thing would be great if it had a low voltage cutoff for the battery.

    While this is a pretty cool and convenient way to power a cordless cooler, you need to be careful to not leave the battery on after it is used otherwise it can kill the battery. If you unplug it right away, you should be fine. Just in case, I bought a cheap, generic Dewalt battery to use with it so me pricey name brand ones aren’t ruined. So far this has worked out great. I do wish this cooler just had it’s own removable battery with protection instead of relying on these this solution.

    Works perfectly. I haven’t used the accessory charging, only for my fridge. I have makita brand batteries and have to use an adapter. Probably have 25+ days of use so far and does it’s job.

    This thing is awesome. If you have an AC/DC cooler (about 20 quarts or so), this is a great way to have another power option … especially in a power outage at home or out camping.I use it to keep my cooler running in power outages. It protects my expensive-to-replace-early INSULIN. That stuff has to stay between 36 degrees D and 46 degrees F. Any lower can freeze/kill it. Any higher can damage it too.This combined with a Dewalt-compatible battery is an inexpensive solution.
