INCLUSION

Update———I ordered another with the plan to grind the bottom for clearance purposes but it appears that it was redesigned and now fits my truck perfectly. I would highly recommend this one now.———Update———After 10 months the distributor shaft broke in half, may have been a one off but it is something to keep an eye out for.———Great product, installed in my 87 D100 with a 318 and it works better then the original computer controlled distributor. To get it installed I had to grind off the middle tab on the distributor hold down clamp so that the bolt would thread in and I had to run a new electrical wire from the ignition relay to the distributor as the lean burn system would only provide 10v. Once I gave it a 12v source tied to the ignition it worked and have had no issues. As mentioned by some of the previous people it is a bit tight but it did fit in with no alterations to the body.I also recommend buying the A-Team pig wires and the A-Team HEI pigtail also available on Amazon to make your installation easier. This distributor has male ends not female, therefore, stock Mopar wires won’t work.

I installed this on my 1973 Plymouth Fury 3 w/ 360 and it fixed the problem with the stock replacement dizzy and coil, easy to install and one 12v wire later I am rolling around with the steering capacity of the titanic and more power than any 4 door church lady Fury 3 needs.

Most likely you’ll run into having to trace the firing order like I had to, if not kuddo’s to you, however simply swapping the wires from one cap to the other probably won’t work being that the notch on shaft of the distributor did not line up with the original position even after marking location of rotor and advance vacuum position. Simple fix, I’ve attached a firing order diagram that I followed for Mopar 273, 318, 340 and 360 small blocks. She fired up, advance vacuum is now working and no longer shuts down. Has a little harder time starting but I believe that’s a timing issue. Side note….this thing is a lot bigger than stock or even some aftermarket distributors. It will fit with assistance.

After wiring this distributor in, the car ran fine for 30 minutes and then cut out on the road and I found out the module inside the distributor had failed so it cost me another £20 to replace this module

I like this kit very much. Was a simple install as well. Only wire needed for operation was a 12 volt keyed source to built in coil through the included pigtail connector. That connector also have a wire set up so you can wire up a tach. cleaned up so much factory wiring by using this kit.Only had 3 complaints1.spark plug wires are not crimped together tight enough. Very easy to pull metal connectors off, other wise they seemed good with a lower resistance than most factory oem wires.2. The distributor cap is quite a bit bigger than stock. so you will run into interference with firewall. It will fit but without some caveman hammering on firewall to make clearance, you wont have much adjustment for timing. so keep that in mind.3. Mechanical timing isnt set very well. I was getting all my timing at 1700 rpms, so you may need to do like i did, and put a recurve kit in it.I’ve been using this unit for almost 2 years now. works great Has not let me down and i’ve not had to replace the modules or anything
