   This item is listed as victor kit 0790-0048 but it is missing one of the most important gasket that is in the piston! I have attached the pic. Get the OEM kit for few bucks more has this gasket already installed. Check the other listing

   Between the time your regulator goes bad, and by the time you order, receive, and then install the repair kit, you may forget how the pieces go back together.Also, when the regulator quits regulating pressure, the high pressure (bottle pressure) will most likely have destroyed your line pressure gauge, Order a new gauge or you’ll be just guessing where to set the regulator.

   I seldom use my torch setup. My gauges are old and when I went to use the setup, the Victor 250 oxy regulator popped. So I installed another old regulator a Victor 450, it also popped. Years ago I had a professional rebuild my Oxy regulator and it cost me $70…… So I purchased two different rebuild kits and fixed both my old regulators. You can do this.

   Most important part of this kit is the “Seat”. This seat leaked immediately, albeit very slowly. This means that it leaks from the tank side to the torch side and you can watch the pressure slowly creep up. NOT GOOD!! If you have one of these slow leaking seats you might not notice and then leave your regulator under pressure for a few minutes while you’re in between cuts and before you know it your Acetylene pressure is way over fifteen!!! NOT GOOD!!! Save your time and money and buy the Genuine Victor parts for a few dollars more. They’re not on Amazon but if your smart enough to rebuild your Regulator then your smart enough to find the Genuine Victor parts.

   This is easy to install but remember you’re working with oxygen and or acetylene. So be careful with your installation. It’s way cheaper than buying a new regulator. Don’t forget to check the numbers on your regulator before ordering.
