The SmartControl spout offers customers ease of use in a durable design. The SmartControl delivers fast fills without spills. Squeeze the trigger a little for slow flow or squeeze a lot for fast fills. Fills up to 3 gallons per minute.
Flame Mitigation Device
Gasoline is very hazardous and contains vapors. The safest use of a gas can is common sense use. The Flame Mitigation Device (FMD) is an additional safety device that can prevent internal vapor ignition. This device must never be removed or altered. To fill your tank, place the gas nozzle straight into the tank opening, the nozzle will rest on one of the ledges inside the FMD. The first ledge is for diesel and kerosene tanks, the second ledge is for gasoline.

I bought this cast tank because I seen the ratings that they were good. Yes it is good but when I filled it up to put gas inside my generator, no matter how much I try to put the little bit of half a cup of gas that was in the tank. It will not come out. That is my only concern about this gas tank other than that it is a very good gas tank. Thank you for reading and God bless.

As a female with smaller hands, the safety feature on this product is very hard to use I ended up taking the pour spout off the pour the gas. Probably very good feature for a person with large hands.
