This has a fan pattern so you’re spraying correctly. The color (vivid black) matches great. I would say that I like this better than the SprayMax base coat as this sprayed consistently through the entire can, whereas SprayMax sputters and messes up with about 25% left. BE AWARE – this paint will run out very quickly so buy an extra can. They’re customer service was also helpful.

High quality paint in a can! I absolutely could not believe the quality and finish of Kustom Canz spray paint. The tip has a fan spray like a professional gun. Covers great. Preparation is the key to any good paint job. So if you’re looking for “miracle” paint in a can, then good luck finding it. This is the same quality paint you would have professionally mixed at your local auto paint store. It sprays evenly with very little over spray. So if you spend some time making sure you’re body work is smooth and put a nice primer sealer and then use this excellent base coat, you can have professional results. Of course you have to clear coat. I purchased the Harley Vivid black and it is an exact match! Thanks Kustom Canz! You saved me time and money! Check out the pics. No clear yet as I wanted to show how the base coat appears. 1 can put 3 medium coats on my 3.3 Sportster tank, with a little left in the can.

Didn’t spray on smoothly and the color wasn’t a match to the HD Vivid Black. It might be ok to use on an add on part, but if your trying to repair/blend it will be different. Paint on the left in the picture is factory, paint on the right is lighter with this product. From a distance it looks ok, but up closer in the bright sunlight you can see the difference.

Those having issues are probably doing something wrong. I primed and sanded 3 times before painting. Clean with degreaser and a tac cloth and had no issues!

I’ve use this Vivid Black paint previously to add side covers to my bike. Goes on really well, the spray nozzle puts out a nice even fan. I did get a nozzle that malfunctioned half way through my 3rd can which continued to sputter paint when not depressed, but caught it quick. For small projects I haven’t found a better product or alternative.
