Not that this product needed another 1 star review, but here it is. Followed directions exactly, and it didn’t work! It doesn’t perform under any amount of torque. Pretty simple. It’s a great concept, but it just does not work. I’ll try out the helicoil solution next.

I can see how this product would work on an application where a bolt is meant to be permanently seated (such as engine), but it did not work for application where bolt is disassembled as part of regular function of the device in question. Is initially strong, but repaired female threads wear out again upon 2-3 unscrew/re-screw cycles. Specifically, did not work on microphone boom stand, which is disassembled on a regular basis. Tried a few applications, same result. Would work great on bolt assemblies needing one-time repair and seating.

I had a local dealer strip my oil plug on my aluminum oil pan. I found this product and it had mixed reviews. Thought it would be worth a try, at least I can back out of this and try something with oversized threads or a helicoil. Cleaned out the opening as best I could. Temperature at the time was about 40F. Heated up the oil pan with a space heater, the directions said to use it at room temperature but didn’t give me a temperature range. Had a small amount of oil dripping through this whole process, likely the extra heat caused it as it wasn’t dripping when I started. Followed the directions and the first time failed. I think the problem was when I put the thread release on the bolt there was too much, it seemed to be mixing with the Loctite when applied. The brush it comes with makes it hard to put on a fine coat. Cleaned out the hole and tried again. This time I could tell it was different, when I removed the plug after 10 minutes it came out very snug. The color of the material was the same as the picture. Per directions left it dry 24 hours. Put in a Dorman Twist Drain so it won’t have to be removed. As of this review I have just a little more than 100 miles of driving, about half of it freeway. I have been checking it with a micrometer to make sure it hasn’t move. So far very happy with the results.

I had two stripped BMW control arm bolt holes, that had been stripped do to cross threading. I followed the instructions and screwed both of the bolts in after I had cleaned out the holes. They went in but they wouldn’t tighten. I left the bolts in even though they keep turning and not get tight for about five hours. I removed the bolts that stayed in for five hours that make the new threads and put in new bolts and they went in and they tightened down tight. I test drove it without an issue. Time will tell how well it holds up under normal driving conditions. I’m please with this product and its performance repairing my stripped BMW E46 control arm bolt holes.

It took me three tries to get the product to do what i wanted it to do, the directions are kind of right but if you want it to work for sure follow these steps:1:) shake the release blue liquid very well for about 45 seconds before use. Apply very very small amount then let dry for about 3-4 min then another small amount and let dry2:) if your bolt is free moving and completly stripped squeze out a dime size 1/8 ” tall blob of each compound and mix by layering for about 2-3 min scraping and relating until you feel it starting to thicken.3:)scoop up half your blob and apply to left side of opening and repeat for right side.4:) screw in your bolt (if you have a y threads left) or push bolt in until it bottoms(if its through hole place tape over back and stop there)5)let the bolt sit and cure for 30 mins. Unscrew the bolt.6) leave the part in a dry place for 3-4 hours over night preferable and the epoxy will turn grey. You are good to go now remeber do not torque bolt in until it turns grey!

This product requires ALOT of patience but it does what it says. The threads on my rims were shredded. The center caps kept falling off. I followed the instructions. Put screws in and left in 5 minutes. Took them out and let them sit an entire day. 24 hours later followed the same process using the opposite liquids i.e. the compound on the screw versus the thread. Put the screw in and voila, had a little bit of traction. Will now leave it sit another day. I’m just going to keep repeating this process until it’s rethreaded. It’s arduous but it’s going to save me buying a new set of rims.

This worked really well. You have to be quick with it though because it sets up fast

Sounded like a good concept in theory. Did all the research online including reviewing detailed instructions on the Henkel website along with YouTube videos. Followed instructions to the letter. Product did not work for me. Total waste of money and time.
