Long Story short car would not go forward but could reverse, “expert”mechanics told me I’d need a new Transmission blah blah blah. Turns out this is a common issue with worn GM transmissions. Installed on 2004 Grand Am. Installation was easy at least for me. They usually fail where the weld meets the bracket due to high pressure. You’ll need to drop the transmission pan mine had 8mm(5/16) Bolts, remove transmission filter and this will be right above the filter. There were Four 8mm bolts holding this on and just reverse the steps and Change transmission fluid, filter and pan gasket while the pan is off. The last ones are optional but it’ll save you time later down the road.

About a week ago my 2006 Saturn Ion lost all forward shifting. Rear worked but no drive/low gear. Mechanic offered transmission swap from junk yard for $2000 or $3000 for a rebuilt. Couldn’t afford it so had car towed to my driveway. Googled the problem and found that a pipe located under transmission pan is prone to breaking at the welding point so took a chance and ordered it here. Pipe was indeed broke. Replaced it and now car runs fine again. Saved thousands.

The part arrived in a timely manner and fit correctly. It fixed the transmission issue where it would shift to reverse, but not to drive. My son-in-law found a video that indicated this could be the problem on our 2009 Chevy Malibu. Definitely recommend this seller based on our experience.
