Perfect fit for 2004 honda civic fan on the passanger side which is radiator fan not AC condenser fan. This is the one that should always turn on when your car starts getting up in temperature and also anytime you have the AC on. Easy test is to turn on the AC and both fans should be working. If the driver side one isn’t working that is a different fan assembly you need. For the install just take out battery, coolant expansion take, radiator hose, and some of the clips on the front. Stuff a washcloth in radiator when removing the hose so you don’t loose too much coolant. You really don’t need to take off the entire bumper for this. If you really don’t know what you are doing it should take about an hour. Maybe 30 min if you are DIYer.

This unit was a good replacement for the Denso OEM fan housing. Installation was painful, not because there was any problem with the part, but because you have to shoe-horn the unit into a tight space if you don’t want to remove multiple things under the hood. One difference from OEM Denso unit: There is a small dust cover that comes off the original motor, which cannot be installed on the replacement motor due to a different orientation of the motor mount and wire feed-through, however, this is not of primary importance and everything else about the motor seems good. Won’t be able to speak to reliability for another 10+ years…

This fan was an excellent after market replacement for my OEM Honda fan that died. My 2002 Honda Civic LX was overheating after being driven for more than about 20 or 30 minutes, and the fan had died.Replacing this myself saved me a bundle, I recommend checking YouTube for how to replace it. One issue I had is the 3 10mm bolts holding the fan onto the frame/radiator sheared off while I was removing them, even using WD-40/penetrating oil. So you may need to drill out the old screws or simply use industrial strength zip ties or wiring to secure the fan to the frame if needed until you can get them properly drilled by a shop. This was about $32 when I purchased it on Amazon, and saved me hundreds by installing myself over the Honda dealer or a mechanic. It is a little tough to get out of the car given the tight space but it can be managed without any special knowledge. You just need a 10mm socket wrench and extension, some penetrating oil, and a YouTube video with this part and you’ll be good to go. You also might want to get some Zip ties, wire, or extra bolts in case the old ones shear off in the repair process.

Since I had to remove the bumper and splash guards I decided to replace both of these fans at the same time and they are a perfect fit. I would definitely recommend these.I will update this review in a few months and after I see how they perform.Update: 1/1/25 Have not had any issues with these fans, they are working perfectly!

I installed it on my 2003 Civic with 238K miles. Took me about 40minutes to do it. Pulling the upper radiator hose off from the radiator was the only that took it a bit difficult (took me 5minutes). The rest was simple and easy.

The described parts code matches 2008 model but this clearly only suits earlier models (likely up until 2005).
