My rubber mounts were worn out. I purchased these in hope of cleaning up some play. They worked very well. Make sure to use some good grease in order to keep them from squeaking. Also, it’s not immediately apparent, but the large ones are split for easy installation. The hardest part was removing the old rubber from the old links. I ended up using a drill bit slightly smaller than the space between the link outer and inner pin. I drilled out the rubber in a few places and then pried it out with some channel locks. That did the trick perfectly.

As it is said – this bushings make the ride stiffer, definitely less swinging from side to side. The difference is noticeable, price is good and fitting is quick. Comes with a grease tube so i haven’t heard any squeaking.Recommended for a stiffer, more firm ride.

Please don’t buy these, it will just give you one big headache. They’re made out of some kind of hard plastic, and I thought that would be fine, but I was so wrong! I had these installed by a professional mechanic, and he told me from the start, are you sure you want me to install these, you’ll regret it. I ask him why he was reluctant, and he told me, they’re not rubber, they’re plastic. I told him that they had 100% reviews, he said OK, but I warned you.So I had him installed them anyway, and they SQUEAK like you wouldn’t believe, and my vehicle never squeak before that. I had the mechanic take everything all apart, a few days later, and had them lube all the fittings, and that solve the squeaking, for about four days, and it all came back, maybe even worse then before. I know, your probably asking yourself, did I change out all the bushing, and the answer is Yes, yes I did! We even thought maybe it’s the new bushing and new arm assemblies, that were installed at the same time, but it wasn’t, because they were made out of rubber. So we decided to change these pieces of plastic for OEM ones, and everything stopped squeaking, thank God. I’ve been driving my Jeep around for the last month, and no squeaks. I could go on and on, but what’s the point, the cost and time will never be recovered. It’s all good now! It was my fault anyway, for thinking that these for be OK. Should have listen to my mechanic in the first place.

Used to replace some wallowed out factory sway bar bushings on the rear of a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ. Creativity is key to removing the old rubber bushings. We drilled relief holes like another reviewer recommended, then heated up the bushing, and pushed on the center bushing using a socket as a drift pin.Be sure to pay attention to the new bushings (both the poly and the metal) because the upper and lower mounts used different sized bolts and you don’t want two of the same bushing to end up on the same link. Four of the poly bushings will have one number stamped into them, the other four will have a different number, along with a different diameter center hole. The metal bushings then correspond to the size of the center hole. It’s not difficult to figure out, but Prothane could’ve at least put in a little cheat sheet in the box to help you match up all the right pieces in case you’re unsure. There’s a little squeeze packet of grease (ketchup packet sized) that comes with this kit…..use all of it! Grease every piece you install! Unlike the OE rubber bushings, poly will squeak like crazy unless you grease it.Definitely tightened up the rear of the WJ, not as much as an aftermarket sway bar (Addco, Hellwig, or similar), but a few steps above the factory rubber bushings and miles ahead of the worn out bushings we removed.

Easily one of the best and easiest things Ive done to my WJ. Handling improved greatly and I ran into no issues other folks seem to have with squeeking. To get the old oned out i just drilled a few holes in the rubber and popped them out with vice grips.
