The packaging and the printing on the part sure seems to be genuine, and it looked identical to the old one that needed replacing. It worked fine. TIP: Be careful when you disconnect either end of the old shock, because if your jetski hatch is up and open, it may fall backwards (further open) once you disconnect either end of the old shock because the shock is the only thing that keeps the lid from overextending (opening too far), or at least that was the case on my 2006 Honda Aquatrax jetski.
