If you have a Land Rover Discovery II, be sure to use these instead of stretch bolts. They are not only better to keep your head gasket in place, they make replacing the head gaskets MUCH easier because they keep the gasket in place while you lower the heads.I have never used these before so I was unaware that the tops are machined for an allen wrench. It makes putting them in a real breeze. I am so enamored with them that I ordered another set for a different vehicle. In both cases, I put them on without changing the gaskets (1 at a time) and had no leaks. This is a seriously good product,.For a Land Rover Discovery II it comes with EXTRA studs and nuts. Don’t use the shortest ones. There are also long one. They think of everything (as they should when you would be stranded if you are short a part).

Great kit, works exactly as every other ARP kit does, my only complaint would be that they offered the kit for the Discovery 2, at a lesser price as it does not use all the bolts. This kit was installed with the engine IN THE TRUCK. I would not recommend doing that unless you have an extreme amount of patience, non secondary air, and hope that it’ll work just as good as if you installed with the motor out.*** update*** after different rover builds STUDS ARE A MUST. , ARP is the most reputable I know of

Really nicely made studs. Fit my 4.6l Rover V8 in my 2003 and 2004 Discovery2 perfectly. There were a few extra studs, washers and nuts, but it worked great and was easy to torque doing a 20 > 40 > 60ft-lb.I will use these fromnnow anytime I have an old Rover engine without them!
