The base metallic purple color is accurate to the picture shown from the test shape. Not entirely opaque so be aware what primer you use it over. I sprayed it over mostly flat black. I had sanded through to the white primer underneath and you can see in the picture how different it looks. I fixed that mistake by re-spraying flat over that edge and reapplying the color over that. I then used candy purple over the base. It didnt seem to change the color much at all. Then i used the pearl purple effect color. Overall very happy but i think i could have skipped the base metallic purple and the candy purple step and got my desired effect with metallic black and the pearl purple effect.

If you are looking for a purple metallic to either paint your entire bike, or accent it, look no further. Buy as many cans as you need, you will absolutely not be disappointed. I’m doing a two tone for my wife’s bike, and I didn’t want to buy an entire quart. So I found this. I’m glad that I did. It goes on so smooth. I am not a professional by any means. I’m not even a rattle can master. But, it sprays perfectly. It comes out at just the right speed, with just the right amount of paint. Once I started spraying, it was so seamless, I forgot to pay attention for runs. No runs. Now that it is dry, I might have to hit it with 1500 just to blend it gently, but there are no nibs. you can essentially spray this let it dry, and put clear over top of it immediately. I’m giving this company two thumbs up, a super A+ , and a promise that I will continue to buy product from them. The value is definitely there. Product quality versus cost, is awesome. Definitley worth more than $20. It sprays perfectly, and it dries beautifully. Absolutely love the appearance of it.

This paint sprays really good and easy to apply I highly recommend a flat black base coat before doing the purple. It dries flat so you can add a 2K satin or gloss clear. The paint coverage is really good and lays down thick but not so thick it runs. A++++

Painted a Tonia Truck for my granddaughter, used a good black primer & cleared over the purple came out great!!!
