Feature:
–Suitable for GM 4.8L, 5.3L, 5.7L, 6.0L engines, 1996-2006. Similar to Kent-Moore J-42907.
–A simple solution to check the oil pressure for GM Gen 3 V8 engine.
–This tool is installed in the position of the oil filter and provides a port for connecting the oil pressure tester gauge, noting that it is not an attempt to obtain the oil pressure through the sender port with non-standard threads.

EN-47971 Oil Pressure Gauge Preluber Adapter (Blue)
Feature:
–Suitable for Corvette Camaro Malibu and ATS Generation 4 & 5 V8 engines.
–If you’re working on a Generation 3 engine you’ll need the other one #7219/J-42907 in this kit instead.
–Provides dual port to attach oil pressure tester for bottom or side tester connection.
–The oiling system on the small-block V8 engines now requires the use of a unique oil filter.
–EN-47971 is installed in place of the spin-on oil filter, and allows existing oil pressure gauge
–J-21867 or J-21867-A to be attached for engine oil system diagnosis, J-45299 Engine Pre-luber can also be attached to Pre-luber the engine prior to starting a replacement engine.

The blue adapter was great. The other one was not. The threads were damaged. It would go on half way and then stop. Looking at it you can visibly see where the threads are jacked up. Just low quality.

This tool worked great on the LS engine in my customer’s Chevy Silverado. The only issue I had was some of the treads where it screws on to the engine had to be cleaned up a bit, but that was the only issue.

Blue one works like a charm. Finally went to use the gray one a year later and realized it has multiple damaged threads. Chinesium at its finest. What do you expect for $40 i guess.
