Overall quality is good but just the smaller clip end seems to want to bend quite easily and flimsy quality. Wish it was a little more robust. Clipped it on starter circuit terminal and little clip wanted to flex and bend. Otherwise it was well built and worked as stated.

I’ve used this and it works well. The small clip is too light and bends but once connected it works fine. I’ve replaced the small clip with a MUELLER ELECTRIC BU-85C CROCODILE CLIP that I got here on Amazon. This is a copper plated steel clip that looks just like the one that comes on it except it is much stronger. Now it’s just about perfect.

Not sure too many mechanics still use this to crank a motor from under the hood much anymore. But when you need to this is the best tool for the job.I actually got it to check flyback current in a relay suppression Zener diode circuit. Simply turning off the power supply output just slowly discharged to zero. The momentary switch was the key to see the flyback voltage. Rugged construction was necessary since I had a lot of testing to do. This fit the bill perfectly. Buy with confidence.
