This oil filter kit went right on my NB miata without much effort, BUT, if you’re not installing this on a removed engine, be sure to take a wrench and stick it in between the oil ports and push to get a bit of extra leverage when installing this thing — you need to make sure you have it on pretty tight. Make sure you utilize plenty of sealant when constructing the housing as well, or it will leak. This kit is a great deal and would 100% recommend. Has gone on an NA and NB miata.

Amazon didn’t do there homework. This Kit doesn’t fit a 2004 F-150 as the website says. I called Hayden and there books say not a recommended fit. I mounted the kit in a perfect location. To do a proper route of the hoses I had to buy som elbows that cost me $57. When I wanted to make the final connection to the Engine, the treaded adaptor they give is only S.A.E. trheads. I believe the Engine is 22mm. I reported this to customer service a week ago. Sadly the site still identifies this as compatible. I even had the Hayden rep check for a 1998 Expedition. It to is not recommended. I would say No 5.4 Liter Ford will fit. Amazon is agreeing to return it, but the time spent and the additional fitting costs are lost, because somebody didn’t check the details. I also see other retailers marketing this. I am not sure what info out there leads folks to beleive this is a fit. Just a threaded adaptor away. Dean

The oil filter kit seems good. The orifices aren’t as open internally as I’d like, and there are rather sharp edges that might cause the oil to not flow as well as it otherwise could, but hopefully the very high pressure of the oil in my engine will overcome that.

Took longer then planned to install but, that was do to running the hose. Not much room under the hood of an MX 5.Workman ship? SatisfactoryEase of install? EasyConnectors? More than plenty for many different vehiclesI did have to go off book for the replacement oil filter. But hey I now have a higher capacity filter with no compromise in quality.

This kit works great on my 2009 Honda Pilot. Recommend you buy the Hayden oil hose. I bought AN fittings and hose and did not like how it all worked and wasted $100. Bought $25 hose and everything works great. Only issue is finding a mounting location under the hood. Suggestion- fill the PH8A filter with oil before starting up- this holds about 3/4 to 1 quart. With the Hayden hose- no leaks!! I am tired of crawling under my cars to change oil. Bought a MityVac 7201 as well. I’m 65 and like doing my own servicing. Use Mobil 1 and can’t get that done locally for less than $100

Good product!!! But Amazon sent used, broken, oil covered unit to me in a grease covers box. I’m guessing the dirty box would have been a clue but not. Then the issued new one said it would be delivered in 2 days. It has now been 5 days and no clue on the arrival date.

I ordered this from Amazon it came on time. When I open the package and started to put it together I realized there were many vital parts missing. All the parts missing were available from home Depot or Lowe’s it cost an additional $35 in brass fittings and then $60 worth of automatic transmission hose ½” inside diameter. I complained loudly to Amazon they wound up giving it to me so it worked out in the end what was there was good quality even though there were castings hanging inside the holes I kind of expected that and clean them up with a small round file. I am still using it in my Jeep it’s still holding up well no leaks and it’s solved a huge problem for me. Every time I change my oil it would pour down onto my starter after a couple of changes the starter would die. I moved my oil filter under my hood in my k&N air box. Problem solved.

Perfect fit for 96 ram oil filters. Has every thing you would need but the lengths of hose.
