Its unfortunate as consumers that we pay the price to keep our fuel and DEF tanks free from threat or misfortune because an automobile manufacturer stands to gain revenue by leaving us vulnerable. I don’t live or work in the greatest place so I definitely feel better with these locking caps. Obviously if someone is intent on getting past a lock, it will most likely happen, but at least with these I can feel that there is less of an opportunity. The locking caps are made with excellent craftsmanship and fit perfect on the ’22 F250 Super Duty Tremor model. The matched keys are a plus, however I would prefer a solid stem on the key itself, as opposed to the material which it is made of. Other than that, I’m very happy with this product, its well made, fits my vehicle perfect, and gives me peace of mind. After efforts of research I found mention of this product in a forum and called the number that the author had posted. The customer service person was very polite and answered my questions directly and sent me the Amazon link immediately and it was on my doorstep 2 days later. Zero hiccups there. If you are to purchase these caps, you can remove the factory diesel cap simply by pulling and twisting the plastic screw to the tether by hand.

Locking mechanism is interesting… simple, but should be effective. Some guys have reported the diesel cap doesn’t work on some 2023 F250 Super Duty trucks, but it worked fine on mine. I have a 2023 F250 Tremor, built in June 2023.Seems a little spendy for what you get, but I had someone open my fuel door and leave my diesel cap hanging out, so a decent set of locking caps became a priority for me. This cap set should deter any shenanigans and that peace of mind is valuable to me.

How often does someone really have their fuel tanks messed with? I don’t know. But this makes me feel better. I’d prefer that there was a simple key like rather than the weird security bolt they use that requires a number of turns to lock and unlock. And I’d prefer a metal “key” vs the flimsy key like thing they include. And it’s pretty spendy for a couple of fuel caps, although they are made very well. If I could have found plastic OEM type caps with a locking mechanism for half the price, I would have opted for those. But since this is all I could find for my F350 – I guess it was worth the price for a bit of peace of mind.

These are really well done. I’m not worried about diesel theft as much as I worry about my passive aggressive neighbors giving me an engine-killing additive. There’s no way someone will open my fuel and DEF caps without a key. Is it a little inconvenient? Yes. I still like them better than the usual locking caps.

Fits my 2022 F250 well. Looks good, and gives me a little comfort that someone can’t easily mess with my fuel now. Expensive, yes i know, but everything with a diesel truck is. Products are well made.
