I was very excited to buy this battery after reading all of the views. That excitment quickly turned to disappoint after receiving the battery and attempting to use it for the first time. When charging the battery the battery gets very warm and ultimately does not fully charge, I have several agm batteries on various other boats, rv’s etc and this one unfortunately is a dud. The battery looses charge excessively fast when pared with recommended northport trolling motor. Customer service refuses any refund or product support. As part of this order I also ordered their kyacktrolling motor and their fancy battery box. After much frustration with the company as a whole, I sent back the trolling motor and the battery box due to Amazon’s great return policy however I’m stuck with a bad battery!My biggest regret is that I belived the reviews. I really which that that would have just purchased the minn kota trolling motor and the LiTime smart battery which is what 90% of the inshore anglers use down here in FL to convert their Canoes, kyacks and sup’s for backwater flats fishing.

Use in my kayak to power Newport trolling motor. Like the smaller size and weight ( 30 lb) vs standard marine battery (50 lb). Of course amp hrs (50) vs standard marine battery amp hrs. (85) is less. Here is my complaints. The carrying handle is a thin rope. Although it works I believe it will not last long. Just one scrape on the thin rope when carrying will I will be dropping 30 lbs on the ground or foot! The second issue is the bolt used on negative and positive terminals. As I have to install and connect trolling motor and battery after launching the kayak I have to remove bolts for ring end connectors on trolling motor and bolts can drop. Ok I could have extras and I will but it would be so much better to have wing nuts that you tighten by hand. Also as I carry two batteries on kayak, making a change from one battery to the other entails the same issue of dropped bolts when on the water.

have had this battery for 6 months. i use it for my trolling motor, powering my ice house, and as a camping power bank. I have run inverters, lights, chargers, tv’s and other thpes of gear off of this. so far its a great battery, still holding a great charge. I even accidentaly left it outside for a week reaching temps as low as -18, it still seems fine.
