Main Functions & Working Principles
When the engine temperature is high and the liquid expands, part of the coolant flows into the coolant reservoir tank through the radiator cover (effectively avoiding the waste of coolant)
When the temperature drops and the pressure of the cooling system is negative, the system sucks the coolant from the coolant reservoir tank into the cooling system through the radiator cover to balance the pressure of the radiator.
HOW THE OVERFLOW COOLANT TANK WORKS？
When the coolant in the radiator expands during heating, the pressure in the radiator rises. When the pressure exceeds the design pressure of the radiator cover, the coolant will flow into the radiator overflow tank through the overflow port. When the radiator cools, a vacuum is created, which draws fluid from the coolant recovery tank back to the radiator overflow tank.

I installed this unit in my FJ40 with a chevy 350. I had to fabricate a bracket to mount it since the room under the engine bay is tight with the v8 in there. I wanted a reservoir with a bit more capacity and this two liter unit fit the bill just fine. I like the finish of it, I like that I can change the inlet and outlet to fit my application. I like that the viewing line of the side.

Looks great and nice upgrade from plastic stock one. I spent some time on it though because I had to remove the battery tray which was in there for 37 years. Not really that fun. I like that I was able to switch the level sight to the other side with no problem.
